You will participate in a number of Brownfield and Greenfield projects for both front end planning studies and detailed engineering phases of multidisciplinary projects. Working visas for self and family will be arranged and financed by the client on successful negotiation of a contract and full relocation costs and support will be provided.

Job Description Principal Responsibilities: * Manage the overall construction effort on site * Implement all aspects of the Project Safety Management System * Direct Contractors to ensure that schedule, design and specification requirements are achieved or exceeded * Carry out regular site inspections of all work and issue directions to Contractors. * Exercise budgetary control to ensure costs are not exceeded * Arrange the preparation and issuing of enquiries for additional work in accordance with site procurement procedures * Minimise interface problems and project delays * Develop good relations with local companies and communities * Review and update the Project Execution Plan (PEP) * Perform dispute resolution as required * Authorize all commitments of expenditure and approve payment
Requirements * 5 years experience as a Construction Manager * A university degree in civil engineering or a college diploma in construction technology OR extensive experience in the construction industry (may substitute for post-secondary requirements) * Experience working on large-scale projects in mining, energy or other heavy construction industry * Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on-time and on-budget * Experience in liaising with clients, regulatory and utility agencies, contractors and other consultants * Experience in project planning, scheduling and cost control
