Our Client are an International Building & Civil Engineering Company.
They are looking to appoint a Materials Engineer (preferably from Ireland / UK):
Materials Engineer
Tender Buyer with a civil background for our Middle East Head Office
Experience and qualifications can fulfill the below key accountabilities for this position. Applicants should hold a certificate/degree and seven to 12 years of relevant experience. A brief job description is as follows:
·Identify and recommend pre-qualification of suppliers and subcontractors so that a range of suitably competent sources are available.
·Review tender documents (e.g. bills of quantities, technical specifications, drawings and conditions of contract) and prepare enquiry packages.
·Seek quotations from local and international suppliers, negotiating prices where appropriate.
·Undertake commercial & technical evaluation of bids from suppliers to ensure that specifications are met and the most competitive bid is selected. Enter the rates in the estimate including allowances for freight and duties as relevant.
