Field Mechanical Engineer Job Description
A Field Mechanical Engineer is required to work for a global leading construction company performing a Project Management Services role on behalf of the client on one of the largest civils projects in the world at present.
The project is to expand the industrial city of Jubail in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This will include the expansion of King Fahd Industrial Port, pipeline refurbishment, increasing capacity of the cooling system, and new desalination plants as well as a newly built industrial rail network.
Field Mechanical Engineer Duties
As the Field Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring the Quality Control Program, including site inspection for compliance with contract documents and approved submittals
Maintain project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy
Review and respond to contractors technical queries and coordinate with the Engineering Department on technical issues
Supervise quantity take offs
Review contractors monthly invoices
Review O&M manuals
Prepare daily reports on each contractor
Provide technical support to the preparation of field change requests and change orders
Participate in final inspection and prepare punch lists
Field Mechanical Engineer Experience Required
A degree in Mechanical engineering or similar equivalent is essential
Familiar with Air Handlers, Exhaust Fans, Chillers, Split Unit, Sanitary Systems, Potable Hot & Cold Water Systems, Storm Water Systems, Fire Suppression Systems & BMS systems.
Ability to commission all HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Suppression Systems.
Knowledge of International codes & safety standards - Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
