Heavy Duty Fitter (underground)
Based from Perth, Fly in / Flyout Projects Sites in Western Australia
Client
Our Client is a leading Australian contract mining and construction company with major projects throughout Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and Africa. Employing more than 3000 people, they have played a major role in the delivery of many of Australia's largest multi-disciplinary mining and construction projects.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced mine site Heavy Duty Fitter with a proven background in the diagnostic and repair of underground mine earthmoving equipment.
These positions are permanent fly in fly out positions from Perth WA and Darwin NT, working an 8 days on / 6 days off roster.
* Previous underground experience
* Relevant trade qualifications
* Current drivers license
* Prior experience in breakdown and diagnostic skills
* Experience with Tamrock drill rigs, Caterpillar loaders, Toro trucks, Jacon Maxi Jets, Tamrock Cabolters or other similar heavy machinery would be advantageous
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Ability to work closely with other people in a team environment
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Strong safety awareness
* Excellent work ethic
Requirements:
* Minimum four years' experience within the civil construction or mining industries
* Trade qualification
* Experience with generator engines, engines for large machinery, pumps, drill-rigs, CAT, Cummings, Scania, Perkins, Hitachi and Mack are highly desirable.
* Must be prepared to work both day and night shifts across your roster
**Must include trade certs and makes and models of plant worked on in application**
Package
?120,000 - ?150,000 p.a
457 visa, flights + accommodation
Hourly rates AUD$38
36 hour week (after 8 hours ordinary time)two hours time and a half and double time after that
Tool Allowance: $14.00 per week
Site Allowance: $5.10 per hour
R + R Accruals
Leading Hand Allowances
First Aid Allowances
Project Incentive Payment - depends on site but held in accrual. approx $27.86 per day. Paid out at end of project
Redundancy Payment - $ depend on site but held in accrual until termination of employment then paid out.
Over time penalties: Saturday: first two hours time and a half and double time after that.
Sunday: Double time all day
