Planner / Senior Planner - £400 Million Civil Engineering Project - N.London - to £60k + Package
Our client is one of the largest specialist civil engineering contractors in the UK and also a major name worldwide. They require a Planner with rail, bridge and infrastructure experience for a major civil engineering project in North London. The project is Rail biased so the ideal candidate will have worked for a blue chip Main Contractor and have previous exposure to the rail environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Translating detailed information from contract documents into a construction programme, creating short-term and temporary works programme. Monitoring, updating and distributing revised programmes to project team and sub-contractors, as well as requisitioning plant + materials for the project. Co-ordinating and managing information into and out of the project, including design and technical information.
Forecasting and reporting variations from the agreed construction programme and cost plan, including liaison with management and the Quantity Surveyor.
Reviewing Tender Programmes. Assisting with Technical Submissions.
Attending Adjudications. Developing Contract Programmes.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Have a Construction related HNC/Degree or equivalent practical experience.
Ideally have CSCS - Construction Planning. Be an effective communicator, level headed and a good team player. Be computer literate. Have an organised and systematic approach and be able to liaise effectively with site operational teams. Ideally have experience of heavy civils works and good knowledge of construction methods and achievable outputs.
Must be eligible to work in the UK
Must have major civil engineering project experience
